WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS, OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY

We are pleased to welcome you to the Department of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology (POG).

Since 2006 studying of pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology was organized on the base of the Special Clinical Discipline Department № 1. In 2008 our department Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology was distinguished as a self-structural unit. In current moment our department holds on several disciplines: Introduction to Pediatrics (on 3-5-th semester); Pediatrics (on 6-th semester); Infant diseases, and Obstetrics and Gynecology (on 10-th semester). Among the teachers of department there are 2 professors, 2 assistant professors, 6 PhD.

Students, clinical residents can get at our department the knowledge and practical skills related to the maternal and child health, physiological characteristics of childhood, common diseases of children,  as well as the physiology of pregnancy, parturition and the obstetric and gynecological pathology.The department employs highly professional teachers who carry out not only pedagogical activities but also work as doctors in leading republican and metropolitan clinics. They are engaged in scientific research and actively involve students in clinical and scientific practice.
